Sight

Hey everyone! Here's another dose of Bellamy!
This picture is a month or two old, but I absolutely love it(even though the nose is blurry! D:)!
Bella's been doing great lately. Her weight is staying consistent now, she has vomited once since the last update(which is great for her!), and she is doing SO much better with kids and dogs!
We just got back from a mini-vacation a few days ago and while we were there she met a few dogs!
Once or twice she saw them across the parking lot(20 feet away?) and she didn't even care. Her tail kept wagging, her ears didn't go back, she didn't bark, growl/moan(not really growling, it's just her way of telling me she's anxious), didn't even try to keep them in her sight!

She also met a dog in the hallway of the hotel and just kept walking, she seemed more curious if anything. And at one of the rest stops on the way home she met a little maltese that she quickly became friends with! The little dog, Jezebel, was a quirky little thing. She kept weaving through Bella's legs XDD I think Bella's gotten used to that from our cat Eulah so it didn't seem to bother Bella much. Bella did lower her ears/bent them back, she lowers her head as low as she can get it, and keeps her tail slightly tucked, but still wagging. But once she figured out Jezebel isn't out to get her she turned back into her happy-puppy self. She's doing really well!
Although she is afraid of the mastiff on our street. XDD But I would be too, so it's all good.

As for kids, there are a few of my brother's friends that come over and the two younger ones like me for some reason(the little girl told me I was her best friend. DX) and keep coming to my room. The little girl laid on top of Bella, was pulling at her ears and beard, etc. and Bella didn't bite her or do anything else than look at me and moan. Of course I was quick to help Bella out and told the little girl not to do that ever again and whatnot. But I'm so proud of Bella!
For anyone that doesn't know, Bella gets ear infections often despite our efforts to keep them clean and they are VERY sensitive. She won't snap or anything, but she doesn't appreciate them being touched in a rough manner. So well done Bella!

Bella's sight has been worrying me lately though. I mean, she can see big things alright, she can chase toys, sees them, etc. She reacts if I put my hand near her eyes, etc. But she has been having trouble seeing little things lately. I could toss a treat and she will walk right over it. She smells it, but she can't see it, so it's like she assumes it's not there. When in the right lighting I can see something almost like a film over her eyes. I'm not sure if it's normal or affecting her sight, but I'll definitely mention this to the vet at her next visit.
Although this does sort of ruin any chance of really competing or even -doing- agility with Bella. I'm not about to force her to do something she can't and doesn't want to do, regardless of my dreams.

Dental Care

"
I've been to the dentist
A thousand times, so I know the drill
I smooth my hair, sit back in the chair
But somehow I still get the chills"
Yup, guys! Bellamy just got her teeth cleaned a day or so ago! Her teeth were getting so nasty!
Here's Bella right after getting home. We have this little set up under our dining room table for her. When her tummy is bothering or she's just not feeling well she'll lay here since we're almost always in our kitchen and she can be close to us. Such a sweetie!
She was feeling even worse, aside from coming off the anesthetic since they messed around with her bum while she was under since she has a lot of pain when it gets messed with. But they found a big problem, her anal glands were just compacted. The tech had to flush it out and everything. So it was great timing.
My dad isn't Bella's biggest fan so it was a huge surprise when he came home from work with a dog toy! It's a little rooster with lots of fuzz which Bella loves! She loves to pluck and groom at fuzzy things, and apparently Rooster makes a good head rest!
She's feeling much better now, so good job Bella!
